Hamilton Beach Stand Mixer
When I first got my apartment as a teenager, one of the very first things I was given was a Hamilton Beach stand mixer. I did not realize how this one utensil would become the focal point of my house for a short period of time. As money was tight we would make our own bread utilizing the dough hook, and resulting in some of the best spread that I've ever had. When it was somebody's birthday out would come the Hamilton Beach stand mixer and it would make the batter, as well as produce some of the best by saying that I've ever been able to achieve. Sadly when I got my Hamilton Beach stand mixer it was already well use. No change that, it was already well loved, however after one day of it sitting on the kitchen counter edge and being knocked to the floor and took its final blow.

But as I looked down at my now broken Hamilton Beach stand mixer, I realize that this mixer was nearly 20 years old. I would have many things in my life that are 20 years old, let alone something that made such a big difference in my life. I know you're thinking, Hamilton Beach stand mixer is just a mixer after all. However when I look back at my early years of having my own place, I think of that mixer. I think of the wonderful breads we made. And I think of the wonderful birthday cakes we produced with it. One thing I don't think of, was ever having a problem with it until the day that he gave its final performance in my kitchen. So while you may say it's just a Hamilton Beach stand mixer, I say it was one great investment.
